A Great Painter

You have to check out the National Museum of the American Indian's online exhibition of works by Fritz Scholder. Scholder is described as "the most influential, prolific and controversial figure in the history of Native Art" and is someone whose work definitely influenced me back in those art school days. I really appreciate his use of colour, and the way he moves paint around seems effortless. I think his approach to his subject matter is pretty honest as well. Let me know what you think.
